| During the Break - News | |
| This summer has been a quiet one for the Lodge. At the end of April a party of 16 travelled to Edinburgh visiting Grand Lodge, as well as Rosslyn Chapel. The party were treated to a guided tour of Grand Lodge by the curator Bro. Cooper. The Grand Lodge museum has a wonderful collection of Masonic artefacts, from all over the world, and is well worth a visit. Rosslyn Chapel, although going through extensive renovations, is a very moving place for anyone to experience. The art and history far surpassed most expectations, and some of those who went intend to revisit. | |
| The Divine service in June was well attended by members, family and friends. The PGM travelled from Inverness and was a welcomed guest. Bro. Rev. Aubrey Bell conducted the service and the guest speaker was Reverend McDowell who spoke of Love and Charity. Although not a Mason, Reverend McDowells knowledge, wisdom and humility proved noteworthy from the message he presented. | |
| The work to the hallway and toilet area is almost complete. I am sure that most of the brethren will be more than satisfied with the design, and standard of the work carried out. Brother Donnie Wood has spent almost every Saturday of the summer working in the Lodge. His commitment to the Lodge and Freemasonry is a shining example of what we are all about. | |
| At our last regular meeting in April, we had five brethren marked. We were able to assist Lodge McDonald of Sleat by marking Brothers Neil Graham and Ryan McGuinness. Brother Andrew Ritchie from Lodge St. Congan in Aberdeenshire was also marked. Congratulations to them all. A warm welcome to Bro. Alan Parker who was affiliated into the Lodge the same evening. His experience and knowledge in Freemasonry will be appreciated. | |
| The Lodge website has received another award, this time from La Fraternite Lodge No. 54 in Brussels, Belgium namely the Masonic Award for Excellence. Brothers may see the award on the links on the left; a visit to this Lodge's website is well worth the effort. May thanks to our Belgian brothers for the award. | |
| A visit by a Lodge from Finland is planned for 15 September 2006, when an Exemplification of the Third Degree will be demonstrated. | |
